Allegra* 64R High-Speed Centrifuge, Beckman Coulter*
This brushless, induction drive refrigerated centrifuge performs routine spins on the lab bench. Ideal for high-speed separations, including cell gradient spins, nucleic acid precipitations, DNA mini-preps, protein precipitations, phase extractions, spin columns, and subcellular fraction pelleting.
Easy-to-use control panel displays actual speed, RCF, time, temperature, and acceleration/deceleration rates. It can be customized for routine runs with multiple acceleration/deceleration profiles. Safety features include a door interlock that prevents contact with spinning rotor and over-temperature/over-speed diagnostics that protect samples. Uses CFC-free refrigerant.
The quiet (65dB), brushless induction drive motor can be set in 100rpm increments and is accurate to ±50rpm. A flexible drive shaft helps compensate for drive imbalances. Accommodates a selection of 13 rotors, sold separately.
The biosafe bowl rotor contains hazardous spills and aerosols if breakage occurs. It accommodates up to 84 microcentrifuge tubes from 250µL to 1.8mL and can be carried from the centrifuge to a fume hood without breaking the seal.
