Allegra* X-12 and X-12R Benchtop Centrifuges, Beckman Coulter*
Streamline cell and general separations with the Allegra X-12 series benchtop centrifuges. They feature a numerical key pad for easy and quick value entry, and they control temperature for up to 10 minutes after the rotor has stopped for walk-away flexibility. An automatic initial soft start ensures sample integrity. The centrifuges have a brushless induction drive, 10 user-defined programs, 10 independent acceleration profiles and 11 independent deceleration profiles, time options (set, hold, or pulse), the ability to toggle between display modes, the ability to set by RPM and RCF, automatic rotor identification, and an audible end-of-run tone. The refrigerated model, Allegra X-12R, uses CFC-free refrigerant and allows a selection of temperature within the range of –10 to 40°C. The non-refrigerated, constant controlled temperature model, Allegra X-12, is preset to 20°C and automatically controls temperature within the range of 18 to 22°C. Both centrifuges accommodate the SX4750A ARIES* self-balancing swinging bucket rotor (see BK369704), in addition to the SX4750 swinging bucket rotor (see BK369702) and FX6100 fixed angle rotor (see BK369735). The ARIES self-balancing rotor automatically corrects imbalance in opposing loads up to 50g and continues to run without shutdown. Centrifuges also accommodate cell culture flask adapters (see BK369295 series) to allow the direct centrifugation of cell culture flasks, which eliminates the transfer step to and from conical tubes for cell separation. This not only saves time and labor but reduces the chance of contamination. CSA certified. CE marked.
