Coliform/Fecal Coliform Heated Circulating Water Baths/Incubators, Precision Scientific
For fecal coliform determination at 44.5°C as specified by APHA, AWWA, EPA, and WPCF using either the membrane filter or MPN method. Also designed for E. coli determination at 45.5°C as specified by the AOAC*. Baths meet the requirements for the WPCF 7-hour fecal coliform test at 41.5°C and the WPCF test for coliphage detection at 44.5°C. Also meets the requirements for the DST* (Defined Substrate Technology*) tests for total coliforms and E. coli at 35.0°C.
Microprocessor controller is factory preset to 35.0°C, 41.5°C, 44.5°C, and 45.5°C and is set by simply pressing a button. Easy-to-read LED temperature display. Each bath is factory calibrated and can be field calibrated from the front panel without tools. Seamless stainless steel interiors. Epoxy powder-coated exteriors are scratch- and chemical-resistant. Fiberglass insulated. Thermometer holder and an opening in the gable cover are provided for user-supplied thermometer.
Model 251 accommodates 96 petri dishes (50mm) or 50 test tubes up to 25dia.x150L mm. No-vortex pump directs water flow around bath perimeter at 50 gal. per hour. Model 253 accommodates 288 petri dishes (50mm) or 150 test tubes up to 25dia.x150Lmm. Centrifuge pump directs water flow around bath perimeter at 200 gal. per hour.
Temperature uniformity of 0.05°C at all temperatures. Capacities listed are for bath/incubator filled within 2.54cm (1") of top. Exterior dimensions are determined for baths without gable cover.
The 120V models are UL listed and come with a standard 120V power cord and plug. The 230V models are CE marked and come with a European-style power cord and plug.
