Heavy-Duty Stirrers, Talboys
These heavy-duty stirrers feature greater horsepower and greater torque over the available speed ranges to resolve many difficult mixing jobs. Advanced electronic Transi-Stir* speed control maintains constant speed (±2%) and delivers constant torque over the entire speed range, even when viscosity or load changes.
Each stirrer is fitted with an adjustable Jacobs-style chuck that accommodates accessory (paddle) shafts from 6.4 to 10mm ( 1/4 to 3/8") in diameter. All Talboys paddles are suitable for all models.
Model 134-1 features both a direct drive and reduction gear shafts. Use the direct drive shaft for high-speed mixing of emulsions and suspensions. The 10:1 gear reduction provides higher torque at slower speeds, ideal for oils and light grease.
Model 134-2 features a unique three-shaft design, making the unit more versatile than any other Talboys stirrer. Similar to the 134-1, except for an added 60:1 reduction gear, providing 169.5N·cm (240 in-oz.) of torque. Mixes high-viscosity material, such as adhesives, in small amounts.
Model 138, Talboys’ most powerful dual-shaft stirrer, delivers greater torque at all speeds. Equipped with a permanent magnet DC motor for maximum power and durability.
Caution: Stirrers are not explosion-proof. Do not use with flammables.
