ORION* 5-Star Multiparameter Meters, Thermo Electron
These rugged meters offer superior performance across a broad range of demanding applications, such as R&D and QA/QC. Optional 1- to 5-point calibration for pH, direct ion, or conductivity measurement ensures a high level of accuracy even at extreme concentrations. Automatic salinity correction for dissolved oxygen (DO) is included in portable meters when measuring conductivity simultaneously. Icon prompts, a simple set-up menu with easy, three-button function, and SMART STABILITY* and SMART AVERAGING* functions simplify the measurement process for non-technical users. Meters also offer a full complement of GLP-related features. Up to 10 setup parameters and calibrations may be stored and password-protected, enabling multiple users to share one unit. Additional methods, as well as software updates, may be downloaded via the Web. All 5-Star meters include the Star Navigator 21* software that ensures regulatory compliance and includes system validation, security and audit trails with time and date stamps, archiving, and record retention and recovery.
Meters feature BNC pH electrode and ISE connectors and mini-DIN locking DO and conductivity probe connectors (portable meters come with all waterproof connectors); automatic or manual pH calibration; automatic buffer recognition of NIST, US, and DIN buffers; fixed polarographic DO probe; automatic or manual temperature compensation; manual ISE calibration; point-to-point ISE calibration with High and Low concentration ranges; automatic blank correction; automatic barometric pressure compensation; auto-read/hold function; optional GLP IQ/OQ documentation; self-diagnostics; and 200-point data logging. Data can be downloaded to printer or computer via the RS-232 connection.
Benchtop meters meet IP54 specifications with protection from water and include locking connectors and a USB interface. The handheld meters meet IP67 specifications, allowing the meter to be immersed in water to a depth of 1m for 1 hour without any water incursion. Handheld meters also feature USB outputs and an extended-life battery for up to 2000 hours of uninterrupted operation. The included Star Navigator 21 software ensures regulatory compliance and includes system validation, security and audit trails with time and date stamps, archiving, and record retention and recovery.
