Paramount-and-Paramount-360-Filtered-Enclosures-Labconco
Paramount* and Paramount 360* Filtered Enclosures, Labconco*

Versatile, self-contained workstations designed for safe handling of chemical fumes and vapors. The operator is protected as the Paramount draws contaminants released within the enclosure through a rear baffle, where they are diluted with air and adsorbed onto or treated by a pair of Color-Smart* carbon filter cells. A roughing prefilter removes dust and particulates to extend the life of the Color-Smart filter cells. An optional electrostatic prefilter removes mists and aerosols. No ducting to the outside is required; however, an optional 25.4cm (10") I.D. duct collar is available for venting to the atmosphere. Paramount 360 enclosures are exactly like Paramount enclosures except they have a clear safety-glass back for viewing from all sides.

Enclosures feature an epoxy-coated aluminum frame with clear tempered safety glass sash and sides. An LCD front panel provides display of filter time elapsed and alarm messages. Safety sensor on models with organic vapor sensor provides audio/visual warning when organic vapor concentrations reach approximately 50ppm or more in the carbon filter bed. Sash is adjustable to two operating positions of 33.0cm (13") and 38.1cm (15") and pivots up to an opening of 61.6cm (241/4") for easy loading and cleaning. Front airfoil directs air flow into the enclosure to minimize turbulence and maximize fume containment. Rear baffle ensures safe and rapid fume removal and allows the contaminants to mix with air for more uniform filter loading. An open bottom allows for placement on an existing bench or over a sink. A dished work surface is available as well as stands on casters and a cabinet, all of which include the work surface.

Filter cells are engineered to NIOSH guidelines for respirators. Filters are color-coded in the same fashion as respirator cartridge filter types for at-a-glance recognition. All contain a minimum of 11.8kg (26lbs.) of impregnated carbon and all except 30153-981 include three sampling tubes. Acid gas filter cells are type ST-1 filter suitable for gases from acids. Color: white. Ammonia filter cells are type CX filter suitable for ammonia and low-molecular weight amines. Color: bright green. Formaldehyde filter cells are type C1 filter suitable for vapors from formaldehyde. Color: drab green. Organic filter cells are type AC filter suitable for vapors from organic solvents. Color: black.

Mobile base stand has 12.7cm (5") diameter toe-locking casters. Hydraulic lift base stands adjust from 54.6 to 85.1cm (211/2 to 331/2") high and support loads up to 453.6kg (1000lbs.). Frame is constructed of durable 4.5cm (13/4") tubular, glacier white epoxy-coated steel. Hydraulic lift stands include four 7.6cm (3") diameter, non-marking polyurethane locking casters with bearings for quiet operation. Manual hydraulic lift models include front-accessible hand crank. Electric hydraulic lift models include a front-accessible up/down switch and a 3.7m (12') three-wire cord and plug.

Enclosures are ETL and ETL-C listed, and CE marked. Electrical components of electric hydraulic lift stands are UL listed. Adjustable height base stands are ADA-compliant.
