Ultima* II Series Ultra-Low Temperature Freezers, Revco*
Designed for critical materials storage, these sophisticated freezers provide high security for laboratory samples. Units feature the IntrLogic* microprocessor control system, which is simple to use, yet sophisticated in performance with direct digital setpoint and display, keyed power and alarm switch, and touchpad data entry. The lifeguard compressor protection system monitors compressor performance and automatically adjusts operation. Automatic Incident Monitor (A.I.M.) initiates a fast flash warning if the system has encountered problems, and records and displays the minimum and maximum temperatures achieved. An extreme ambient alert provides an early warning when ambient temperature is high enough to affect compressor operating conditions. Units also feature voltage boost, surge suppressor, clean filter indicators, remote alarm controls, and RS-232 data port.
Ultima II upright and chest freezers feature the Legaci* refrigeration system, which provides reliability and sample security by withstanding strenuous laboratory environments. It includes customized Copeland* 1hp compressors combined with DuPont Suva 95* refrigerant to provide the extra strength needed for extreme temperature loads. Pressure Equalization Port (PEP*) combats door open and close pressurization differential in the inner chamber, allowing easy re-entry within 30 seconds. Five ABS molded, crack- and chip-resistant, air-insulated inner doors with magnetic latches minimize cold air loss during door openings. Recessed heavy-duty casters are standard on all models.
For maximum security, upright freezers include the CryoLatch*, which provides easy one-handed operation and comes standard with a built-in key lock plus provision for a pad lock. Chest freezers feature heavy-duty, counterbalanced lids with double-seal gaskets and sub-lids to prevent frost build-up.
