UltraGAPS* Coated Slides, Corning*
These 25x75mm slides are coated with an amino-silane surface chemistry that enables the even immobilization of long (>50mer) oligonucleotides and cDNA. The flexibility of printing both of these types of microarrays facilitates the introduction of UltraGAPS Slides into existing processes. The slides go through a proprietary coating process that results in arrays with low background fluorescence and a high signal-to-noise ratio from slide to slide and lot to lot. The ultra-flat and ultra-clean glass substrate optimizes volume transfer and ensures uniform spot morphology, thus enhancing the ability to detect expression of low abundance transcripts. The improved surface chemistry provides consistent DNA retention for uniform printing of nucleic acids across the entire slide surface and sustains it during extended print runs. UltraGAPS slides are available with or without bar codes. Slides without bar codes enable printing over the entire slide surface for very dense arrays. They are shipped in containers that may also function as storage boxes for your printed array. The boxes have a low transmittance to help protect Cy*3 and Cy5 dyes from photobleaching, and they do not shed particles or out-gas volatile chemicals that may contaminate array slides.
For optimized hybridization reagents, see Pronto!* Universal Hybridization Kit (33501-406).
