VWR* SuperClear* Microcentrifuge Tubes
SuperClear tubes are made from an ultra-clear polypropylene resin that provides a clear view of the pellet as well as correct color rendition. Tubes with caps feature a GateFree* design for a strong, smooth tube bottom that eliminates the risk of snagging gloves or irritating fingers. Caps are flat, pierceable, frosted, and won’t open when the tube is boiled or autoclaved. The caps have smooth surfaces and an ergonomic design to reduce the occurrence of repetitive strain injuries from opening and closing. Tubes fit most common rotors and can be spun up to 14,000g. Autoclavable at 122°C. Freezable to –90°C.
Note: Do not use the 1.7mL tubes for phenol/chloroform vortexing. (See the 20170-038 series for tubes appropriate for vortexing.)
